(Update) Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Hilo Traffic Collision

A 71-year-old Pāhoa woman died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a Hilo intersection on October 22, 2026. Hawai‘i Island police are investigating the collision, which involved a 39-year-old driver who was not injured.
